Manifesting Paradise at City Hall

Juneteenth is Digi's birthday! Like my legal birthday, I celebrate for days! This year was particularly special because I had the opportunity to sing songs from my upcoming album ParaDICE at City Hall during Coff33 Corp's Buy Black Market!

This is an excerpt from my song, "Obed / (Pluto in Aquarius)," a heartfelt prayer transformed into a piece of music. This song holds a deeply personal significance for me, as it originated during a particularly challenging period of my life under the luminous guidance of the Hunter Full Moon in 2021.

"Obed" is a prayer I crafted to summon a guiding spirit to support me through those difficult times. As I navigated the emotional and spiritual turbulence, this prayer became a beacon of hope and strength, embodying my innermost fears, desires, and aspirations.

A portrait I created of my spirit Obed. Also, a case I carved out of an avocado seed to hold his physical body.

The song’s alternate title, "Pluto in Aquarius," reflects the astrological transit during which I converted this prayer into a song. The astrological transit of Pluto in Aquarius is associated with revolutionary change, transformation, and the breaking down of old structures to make way for new, progressive ideals. Pluto, the planet of transformation and rebirth, entering the sign of Aquarius, which is associated with innovation, humanitarianism, and collective consciousness, brings a powerful energy that encourages societal shifts and the reimagining of power dynamics.

This revolutionary energy of Pluto in Aquarius aligns well with the spirit of Juneteenth, a celebration marking the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. Juneteenth embodies the struggle for freedom, justice, and equality—values that resonate with the transformative and liberating qualities of Pluto in Aquarius.

Earlier in the day I had a photoshoot with photographer Ricardo Barros during the Juneteenth celebration at the Fitchburg Abolitionist Park.

Both Juneteenth and the Pluto in Aquarius transit highlight the importance of dismantling outdated and oppressive systems. Juneteenth celebrates the end of a brutal chapter in American history and the ongoing fight for civil rights, while Pluto in Aquarius encourages societal evolution towards inclusivity and equity. Together, they symbolize a powerful synergy of past struggles and future aspirations, advocating for continued progress and the empowerment of marginalized communities.

Creating "Obed / (Pluto in Aquarius)" was a cathartic process, merging the mystical influence of the Hunter Full Moon with the powerful astrological shifts of Pluto in Aquarius. The result is a song that not only tells a story of personal struggle but also radiates a message of hope and transformation.

Please help to me to continue effecting positive change in my community by buying a ticket to my fundraiser. The funds will go towards creating a free Art Walk in Fitchburg. If you can't come to the event in person, all ticket holders will receive access to recordings of my performances.
